Sarah Spreckley of Park Lane Events on behalf of The Caledonian Club
After a very long and bleak winter, I think it’s safe to finally say (out loud) that spring has sprung and catapulted us straight into summer and full-blown wedding season with glorious sunshine aplenty.
Although weddings can take place at any month of the year – summer still remains the most popular time of the year at the Caledonian Club for couples to tie the knot with the option of moving certain elements of the day outside if Mother Nature is playing ball. Gardens in full bloom, drinks on the terrace and more photo opportunities are just a few of the reasons why key summer dates tend to be booked well in advance when compared to other months throughout the year.
Regardless of whether the sun is shining or not, one additional bonus of a summer wedding is the abundant choice of flowers that is available to couples when planning their special day. Wedding theming is a major part of the planning process with the flower selection being crucial to the colour scheme and the general ‘feel’ of the day that the happy couple wish to achieve.
Choosing wedding flowers that fit your style and colour palette isn’t always easy if you don’t know your peony from your petunia but help is at hand with this part of the planning – the team at the Caledonian Club can recommend local florists that have styled many weddings at the Club and know what does and doesn’t work in the desired space. They are the experts in this field and will be able to guide you through the process, finding solutions that work well with the Club, match your theme and also the all-important budget.
With ‘Belgravia in Bloom’ on their doorstep, the Caledonian Club is well placed to recommend the best local suppliers to help make your day as bright and as beautiful as possible.
